Secret Path has had a tremendous impact on Canadians in learning more about the history of Residential Schools and the treatment of Indigenous people.
To kick off our learning journey on the Secret Path, 31 educators and education partners representing every part of the country came together with the Secret Path team in October 2016. These key educators returned to their home regions to collaborate with survivors, families and communities to develop Secret Path focused lesson plans, modules and projects.
Since the launch of Secret Path on October 18, 2016, educators, community members, and parents have been reaching out to us to share how they have been using the Secret Path, and Chanie’s story, to teach others about the true history of Indigenous People in Canada.
